I had always wanted to visit SeaWorld. Ever since I was a little girl falling in love with Shamu, the famous killer whale, I’d dreamed of seeing these amazing creatures up close. Little did I know that not only was SeaWorld a fun, entertaining place to see some of the planet’s most magnificent animals of the ocean, it also is an extraordinary place of conservation and protection of these very creatures we love so much.

The SeaWorld Cares program provides rescue, care, conservation, research, education and community work to help preserve sea animals. In the past 50 years, SeaWorld has performed over 27,000 rescues of ill, injured and orphaned animals – quite an amazing feat. The Rescue Team is a passionate, dedicated group of people who are on call 24/7, 365 days a year, and always ready to help an animal in need.
